Evaluation Services
The multidisciplinary team at ASPIRE Center offers comprehensive evaluations to assist individuals and families in identifying, understanding, and addressing a wide range of psychological, developmental, communication, and educational concerns.

What types of evaluations does ASPIRE offer?
ASPIRE Center offers a number of different evaluations, each designed to best meet your needs or the needs of your client, student, child and family.
Your evaluation should answer the questions for which you sought an assessment – e.g., diagnostic clarification, pattern of academic strengths and weaknesses, level of adaptive functioning, recommendations for interventions and educational planning, eligibility for services or college programs.
ASPIRE Center works closely with you to develop the most appropriate evaluation to answer your questions and our clinical team can assist you in determining what information is most important to you.
How much does an evaluation cost?
The cost of an evaluation varies depending on the clinical time required and the members of the clinical team. Evaluation fees are typically calculated at a rate of $175 per hour and range in price from $475 - $3500. Sliding scale is offered on a case-by-case basis.
Does ASPIRE accept insurance?
ASPIRE Center does not accept insurance directly, however we work closely with families seeking reimbursement:
How long does an evaluation take?
Depending on the referral question, evaluations can take as little as 2 hours to complete, or as long as 10-20 hours of clinical time for a comprehensive assessment.
A carefully planned schedule of appointments is developed for the evaluation following review of information that is provided to the clinical team (e.g., IEPs, previous evaluations, developmental history).
How do we get the results of the evaluation?
The final appointment of any evaluation is a 1-hour “feedback” session during which the results of the evaluation and recommendations are shared by the clinical team.
A highly comprehensive and individualized written report (typically between 8-35 pages) is composed and sent to the recipient via postal mail upon completion. This document is typically finalized about 6-8 weeks after the feedback session is held.
What happens after an evaluation is completed?
Families are encouraged to contact the clinical team if they have any further questions after reading their report. Additional services that many families find helpful following an evaluation include:
Components of a comprehensive evaluation may include, but are not limited to:

ASPIRE Center does not accept insurance directly, however we work closely with families seeking reimbursement:
- We encourage families to contact their insurance company following our initial discussion in order to inquire about pre-authorization.
- We provide families with the CPT codes we anticipate using during the evaluation, and estimates of units of time.
- Following the evaluation we provide families with a detailed invoice with CPT codes and time units.
- If an insurance company would like to speak with us briefly regarding a request by one of their members, we are happy to do so. Lengthy conversations and completion of insurance paperwork may incur an additional fee.

Out of Town/State Evaluation Clinic
ASPIRE Center has developed an out of state evaluation clinic for families interested in coming to Long Island for assessment services. We plan a 2-3-day visit and assist with locating accommodations that meet a family’s needs.
